Who can use

You must be at least 13 to use Startsy. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian should agree to these terms.

What Startsy is

Startsy is a tool operated by Startsy Inc. that helps you begin tasks you’ve been avoiding: you describe a task, receive a suggested first step, and run a short focus timer. Startsy is a self-improvement tool, not a medical or mental-health service. If you are struggling in ways that feel bigger than a task list, please seek a qualified professional.

Your account

Sign-in is by email magic link. You are responsible for keeping access to your email account secure. You may delete your account and its data at any time from the account page.

Acceptable use

Don’t use the service to break the law, probe or disrupt the service, or submit content intended to harm others. We may suspend accounts that do.

Subscriptions

Paid plans are billed through PayPal on a monthly or yearly cycle and renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel any time from your account page; access continues to the end of the paid period. Prices may change with notice before your next renewal.

Refunds

If you're not happy with a paid plan, email us within 14 days of your first payment for that plan and we'll refund it in full — no questions asked. Renewals can be refunded within 7 days of the charge if you haven't used the paid features since. A full refund ends paid access immediately; partial refunds don't change your plan. If you open a PayPal dispute, your access continues while PayPal reviews it, and ends if the dispute results in a refund. Write to support@startsy.app.

AI-generated suggestions

First-step suggestions are generated by an AI model. They are suggestions, not professional advice. Use your judgment — especially where a task touches legal, financial, or medical matters.

Profile results

Profile results are working patterns based on your answers. They are not professional, medical, or psychological advice.

Warranty and liability

The service is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Startsy Inc.’s liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Changes

We may update these terms; material changes will be announced in the product before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the updated terms.
