A way to understand starting

The Distracted Starter

Your attention gets pulled away before the task has a foothold, or returning means finding your place again. You want the next move to stay visible when you come back.

What usually helps you start

  • Move one distraction out of reach.
  • Put the needed file or tool in front of you.
  • Leave a concrete note showing where to resume.

Example

Open the draft and leave a note naming the next sentence to write.
